Proud to be a Canadian

My politics lean slightly to the left but I’m a Canadian first. I am so proud of our Provincial and Federal governments and how they are handling Covid-19. Left, right, or in the center they all pulled together to fight the common enemy. No fighting amount themselves like true Canadians. I look to our neighbours to the south and feel sorry for them as their government’s squabbles over politics.

An example of been a Canadian is Doug Ford. When he became Premier People compared him to Trump. I worried about how our largest Province would be affected by him. After watching him on TV over the last while I have become impressed with him. He is not Trump, because he has empathy. He has learned to change with the times and become a better Premier. You can see what harm a government without empathy can do.

I am proud to be a British Columbian as our NDP government has done a wonderful job. They believe in science and let Dr. Henry make decisions. She is the perfect person for the job and I feel so lucky we have her.

As Canadians we must all do our jobs and protect each other. It’s not easy as money starts to run short but I do see people inventing different ways to keep their jobs going.

As I have talked about throughout my blog, I believe we need to work on finding out why people are not getting sick. I put forward one idea, vitamin “D” but I’m sure there are many more. If we figure that out we will just have to look after those who will become extremely sick and fix their problem. A vaccination only works until the virus changes then we have to make a new one. If we figure out how most of us fight it off, we can fight them all. I know if I had the data on each case I could figure it out. Like all the projects I worked on in the past, it was the data that fixed the problem.
